Job summary

Booker is seeking a dedicated Van driver to join our delivery team on a permanent basis. You will contribute to first-class customer service by picking, packing, and delivering goods with accuracy and care.

A full driving license is essential as you will be loading, unloading and handling delivery paperwork at the branch and customer sites. Our drivers are central to ensuring deliveries reach customers on time, with emphasis on courteous service and professional presentation.

Qualifications

• Capable of loading/unloading and handling paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Accurate picking and dispatch of goods using handheld terminal and report any differences to the Manager.
• Check quality, shelf life and ensure packaging is robust for delivery.
• Provide high standard of customer service by processing deliveries efficiently and on time.
• Deliver goods to customers and handle queries professionally; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Assist with loading stock into the vehicle and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.

You will be responsible for

• Responsible for the accurate picking and dispatch of goods by picking against a hand held terminal and advising Manager of any differences.


• Checking quality, shelf life and ensuring packaging is robust in preparation for Delivery.


• Responsible for providing a high standard of customer service by processing deliveries efficiently and to target.


• Providing first class service to our customers when delivering their goods.


• Being polite when dealing with delivery staff and responding appropriately to queries and complaints referring any complex situations to someone who can help.


• You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.
