Job summary

Bidfood UK is seeking a reliable Stock Control Assistant / PI Operative to join our warehouse team in the UK. The role focuses on maintaining stock accuracy through a 20-day perpetual inventory cycle and supporting everyday stock management of date-sensitive products.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Good communication and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Complete regular stock counts as part of the PI cycle.
• Check stock condition and monitor best-before dates.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and maintain WMS accuracy.
• Carry out stock checks in picking and bulk storage locations.
• Investigate discrepancies in Hub & Spoke and IBT processes.
• Process credits and invoicing accurately.
• Respond to supplier, customer, and internal enquiries promptly.
• Manage damaged stock and customer returns.
• Support the Stock Manager and team with daily tasks.
• Ensure tasks comply with procedures and health & safety standards.
