A healthcare organization in Kilmarnock is looking for a Physiotherapy Technical Instructor to assist with the rehabilitation of patients. The ideal candidate will have a health or social care related qualification and experience in a caring role. You will support experienced physiotherapists, ensuring patient mobility and quality of life. This part-time role involves working 22.2 hours per week, primarily from Monday to Wednesday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Technical Instructor based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
You will provide support to the registered physiotherapy staff, and under their direct supervision / instruction, assist them with the rehabilitation of patients within the Medical wards. This may include moving and handling of patients, escorting and preparing the patient for treatment, assisting in the treatment where more than one person is required, carrying out specific treatment interventions as instructed by physiotherapist and delivering equipment, as well as specific house-keeping and administration tasks. We are looking for a personable individual to provide rehabilitation to patients in the Medical specialty wards at UHC. You should be passionate about empowering your patients to achieve their goals, regain mobility and enhance quality of life. This role involves collaborating with experienced physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to make a meaningful impact on patient recovery and discharge planning.
You will possess a Health or social care related SVQ, or recognised fitness industry qualification. With relevant experience of caring for/assisting individuals in a health care or fitness setting. You will have an understanding of the role, and a basic health and safety awareness, as well as patient care awareness. You will have well developed written and verbal communication skills and have basic computer literacy. Experience in service improvement is desirable.
22.2 hours per week - Monday - Wednesday
