Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Band 4 Physiotherapy Support Worker to join the T&O Team at Southmead Hospital. The role covers elective and trauma wards with shifts across 7 days, including extended hours from 8am to 8pm.

You will assist with assessments, treatment and discharge planning under supervision, contribute to service development, and provide patient-centred care across inpatient services.

Qualifications

• Evidence of higher level apprenticeship or foundation degree or equivalent clinical experience.
• Numeracy and literacy at Level 2 or equivalent.
• Demonstrated desire to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy assessments, exercise plans and support patients from admission to discharge.
• Carry out autonomous assessments and treatments for protocol-led post-operative or acute cases.
• Work in busy medi-rooms to provide information, advice and equipment for day case surgery.
• Input at team meetings and support training for new starters and students.
• Complete referrals and administrative tasks such as mediquip ordering.
