The Physiotherapy Department is based in the Western Isles Hospital. The NHS Western Isles Physiotherapy service exists to deliver high quality care to patients and their carers.
The key responsibilities of the service are to provide triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment to a diverse range of conditions and patient types in a variety of environments. There is also a key role in health promotion. All staff within the Physiotherapy Service must comply with NHS Western Isles and Departmental policies in addition to complying with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Professional Standards and Rules of Professional Conduct.
We are looking to recruit a summer student to assist with project work and administrative functions, including:
This placement is suitable for students studying physiotherapy, sports, exercise, or health-related subjects. You should have excellent communication skills, confidence in handling general enquiries, and attention to detail. Competence in MS Office is essential, as is maintaining confidentiality due to dealing with sensitive information.
The hours are 20 per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 13:00, with flexibility. All placements are paid on Band 2 and are fixed-term for 3-4 months.
