Job summary

Spire Liverpool Hospital is seeking a Physiotherapy Manager to lead its physiotherapy department on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role oversees service strategy, clinical standards, quality improvement, resource use and HR for the team, with responsibility for how technology is used in patient measurement and treatment.

The post requires HCPC registration and a physiotherapy degree, with supervisory or management qualifications desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in physiotherapy (BSc Hons) or equivalent.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience leading a physiotherapy department or similar teams is desirable.
• Experience applying clinical reasoning to complex or orthopaedic patient cases.
• Supervisory or management qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the physiotherapy department, set service strategy and improvement policies.
• Set and monitor assessment, diagnosis and treatment standards with clinicians and audit regularly.
• Develop clinical and managerial knowledge and support peer development.
• Improve quality and benchmark practice to implement best practice.
• Direct efficient use of physical and financial resources and carry out HR activities.
• Foster a safe environment and promote equality and diversity.
• Plan and quality assure the use of technology for measurement, monitoring, and treatment.
