A leading healthcare organization in the UK is looking for an Associate Practitioner to join the pulmonary rehabilitation team. This role supports physiotherapists in delivering rehabilitation to patients across Newcastle upon Tyne both in the community and at hospital sites. Candidates must have experience in exercise programme delivery and conducting assessments. Strong IT skills are also required as this position involves administrative duties. The role offers flexibility in working arrangements with part-time hours.
An exciting temporary opportunity to join the accredited pulmonary rehabilitation team as an Associate Practitioner. This post supports the physiotherapy-led team to deliver pulmonary rehabilitation to patients across Newcastle upon Tyne, in the community (Kenton Park Sports Centre) and at hospital sites (mainly Freeman Hospital). The team consists of physiotherapists and associate practitioners dedicated to delivering high-quality care. Pulmonary rehabilitation is an evidence-based treatment that can improve quality of life through exercise and education. This role is suitable for an experienced rehabilitation or therapy assistant looking to further develop knowledge and skills. Basic knowledge of this client group and experience delivering exercise programmes in a group setting are essential. Experience in delivering basic education to a group of patients will be beneficial. The post involves one-to-one assessments with patients, both over the telephone and face to face, and strong communication skills to build rapport with patients by telephone and in person.
