Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Physiotherapy Assistant to support the Care of the Elderly Physiotherapy Team at North Tyneside General Hospital. You will help deliver rehabilitation to older adults, promote mobility and engagement in activity, and work with a multidisciplinary team across wards.

Accountable to a specialist team leader, you will contribute to safe, timely discharge and ongoing patient independence during hospital stays within a modern NHS

Formación

• Experience in rehabilitation support is desirable.
• Ability to work with older adults and multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication and patient-facing skills.

• Assist Physiotherapists in delivering therapy, mobility and activity programs.

• Work across wards within North Tyneside General Hospital and associated sites.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapy Assistant to join our Care of the Elderly Physiotherapy Team at North Tyneside General Hospital. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about supporting older adults to regain and maintain their independence during their hospital stay. You will work closely with Physiotherapistsand the wider multidisciplinary team across a number of wards to deliver high-quality rehabilitation and promote safe, timely discharge from hospital. The successful candidate will play a key role in encouraging mobility, physical activity and engagement in rehabilitation.

• To be accountable to a specialist team leader and ultimately site manager.
• To work predominantly within an identified client group but be prepared to work flexibly across the service.
