A national health service is seeking a qualified Physiotherapist to join the Intermediate Care Team in Methil. The role involves working closely with older patients in community settings to prevent hospital admissions and support discharges. Candidates must have a degree in Physiotherapy, relevant NHS experience, and the ability to work flexibly over 7 days. Opportunities for professional development and support are provided.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Intermediate Care Team based in Randolph Wemyss Memorial Hospital as part of the Integrated Community Assessment and Support Service (ICASS).
You will require to have NHS experience of working with adults, mainly Older People and have assessment and treatment knowledge and skills associated with this patient group.
Patients are seen in their own homes, homely setting or as an outpatient. The main focus of the team is preventing unnecessary admission, supporting earliest possible discharge from hospital and enabling patients to remain as independent as possible in their homes. You will require to have a degree in Physiotherapy and be registered with the HCPC. Evidence of continuous professional development is essential. Evidence of involvement in audit and service development is required and experience of supervising junior staff for Band 6 level.
There may be occasions where you will be required to work in one of the other community hospital sites. Our service offers regular supervision, PDP and supports training opportunities.
The ability to travel throughout the area is essential as this post is community based. Working hours flexibly over 7 days are part of developments within ICASS. Public Holiday working is in operation (except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day).
Interviews will be held in person for this post.
For informal enquiries, please contact Gayle White, Physiotherapy Team Leader on 01334 465756.
To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigrations Service.
As part of the pre-employment checks for a preferred candidate, NHS Scotland Boards will check your entitlement to work in the UK. It can be evidenced through a number of routes including specific types of visa as well as EU settled and pre-settled status. To find out more about these routes of permission, please refer to the GOV.UK websitehere.
For specific types of post, if you do not have the necessary eligibility to work in the UK, it might be possible (though not guaranteed) to secure sponsorship via a UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa. However, this is only possible if the employer is a licenced Sponsor, and if the post does not fall below the current minimum salary threshold or ‘going rate’. Further information on these criteria can be foundhere.
It is ESSENTIAL that you have checked that you either already have an appropriate right to work in the UK or that the post would be eligible to be sponsoredBEFORE submitting your application form.
