Job Description:

Experienced Physiotherapist – Flexible, Self-Employed Role

Location: Southampton and surrounding areas.

Hours: 4 – 30 hours per week (with flexibility)

Contract: Self-employed / 0 hours.

Medella Home Physio & OT is a private physiotherapy and occupational therapy service, dedicated to providing high-quality elderly and neurological rehabilitation in a community setting. We bring expert care directly to where it’s needed most—our clients’ homes.

As demand for our services continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced and compassionate physiotherapist to join our friendly, dedicated team.

About the Role

You will predominantly work with older adults, supporting them with a range of conditions such as falls, frailty, and deconditioning. There are also opportunities to work within your expertise in areas such as stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson’s, orthopaedic rehab, surgical rehab, respiratory, cardiac rehab, and more.

We aim to keep your caseload as local as possible, and travel reimbursements apply for journeys beyond 6 miles.

Please note: This is a self-employed role, which may not suit everyone. If you’re unsure, we’d be happy to discuss the details with you.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced physiotherapist with:

  • A strong background in elderly and/or neurological rehabilitation
  • Substantial NHS experience as a qualified physiotherapist in England
  • A passion for delivering excellent care in a home setting

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy
  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience (at least 3 years NHS)
  • NHS experience in the UK
  • HCPC and CSP registration
  • UK Driving Licence
  • A warm, professional approach with a commitment to patient-centred care
Why Join Us?

Flexible schedule – Set your own hours and enjoy a great work-life balance

Autonomy – Work independently while being part of a supportive team

Rewarding work – Make a real difference to people’s lives in their own homes

Competitive pay – Plus travel reimbursement for journeys over 6 miles from your home
