Looking for an exhilarating new role? We have an opening for a Locum Respiratory Physiologist or Physiotherapist in Hemel Hempstead with an attractive daily rate of £400.

This Full-Time (Part-Time Considered) position offers an ASAP start and is ongoing. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to provide expert care and support across Hemel Hempstead and Harpenden hospitals, focusing on Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA).

What you will do:

  1. Deliver expert care specialising in the management of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), ensuring each patient receives the highest standard of care.
  2. Accurately interpret multichannel sleep studies and pulse oximetry reports.
  3. Set up, troubleshoot, and adjust CPAP masks to ensure optimum comfort and compliance for patients.
  4. Analyse compliance data meticulously to assess the effectiveness of treatment plans.
  5. Develop long-term management strategies for OSA, encouraging adherence to CPAP therapy among patients.
  6. Provide educational presentations and sessions about respiratory conditions and CPAP management.
  7. Maintain meticulously accurate clinical records, ensuring effective data entry using systems like Excel.
  8. Travel between Hemel Hempstead and Harpenden sites to provide comprehensive patient services.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. An active HCPC registration.
  2. At least 2 years of relevant experience in respiratory physiology.
  3. Demonstrable experience in managing OSA patients.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of CPAP therapy, mask fittings, and monitoring patient compliance.
  5. Proficient communication and patient interaction skills.
  6. Capability in data entry and documentation, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  7. Able to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  8. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred.
  9. Experience in a clinical setting at Hemel Hempstead or Harpenden Hospital.
  10. Previous experience presenting to patient groups or training fellow healthcare professionals.
