Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic or post-surgical conditions.
• Formulate individualized treatment plans based on findings and goals.
• Use various therapeutic techniques, exercises, manual therapy, and patient education.
• Collaborate with consultants, nurses, occupational therapists and other health professionals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds and discharge planning as appropriate.
• Refer patients to additional services (e.g., hydrotherapy, pain management, community rehab).
• Manage own caseload across inpatient/outpatient settings as required.

We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in thePhysiotherapydepartment.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include

Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic, or post-surgical conditions (dependent on setting).

Formulate individualised treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.

Use a range of therapeutic techniques, exercise programmes, manual therapy, and patient education to promote recovery and prevent further injury or deterioration.

Collaborate closely with consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds, and discharge planning as appropriate.

Refer patients to other services where required (e.g., hydrotherapy, pain management, or community rehabilitation).

Manage your own caseload efficiently, working flexibly across inpatient and/or outpatient settings as required.

Applicants should meet the following criteria

• HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
• Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
