A reputable healthcare provider in Northampton is looking for a Band 6 Physiotherapist for acute inpatient rotations. This role involves providing physiotherapy across various specialties and mentoring junior staff. A BSc in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration are required, along with experience in acute hospital settings. This is a temporary contract for 3 months with a focus on high-quality patient care.

Main Duties:

  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy across acute inpatient rotations: Respiratory, Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Stroke, Acute Medicine, Elderly Medicine, and Urgent Care & Frailty.
  • Participate in the evening and weekend respiratory on-call service.
  • Conduct advanced assessments and develop individualized treatment programs for patients with complex conditions.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapy colleagues for joint assessments and treatment plans.
  • Manage a caseload independently, contributing to patient flow through board rounds and ward meetings.
  • Identify patient care pathways and suitable discharge locations.
  • Mentor Band 5 physiotherapists and supervise physiotherapy students.
  • Support newly registered staff during their preceptorship.

Requirements:
