Job description
Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust for a Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant to join our inpatient rehabilitation services. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support our Physiotherapy team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will play a key role in supporting patients’ rehabilitation and recovery, helping to maximise independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Physiotherapists in delivering evidence-based treatment programmes to patients in inpatient settings.
  • Support patients in carrying out rehabilitation exercises and functional activities.
  • Observe, monitor, and record patient progress, reporting back to supervising clinicians.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas and therapy equipment safely and effectively.
  • Contribute to patient-centred care planning as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in team meetings, service development initiatives, and training sessions.
  • Be based at The Harbour, Blackpool, with the requirement to travel to other Trust sites when necessary to deliver treatment.
