We are looking for a motivated and caring Physiotherapy Assistant to join our Physiotherapy Department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in helping orthopaedic patients regain their mobility, confidence, and independence following surgery or injury.
Working under the supervision of experienced Physiotherapists, you will support the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services across inpatient and outpatient settings, contributing directly to excellent patient outcomes and experiences.

As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will support Physiotherapists in delivering rehabilitation programmes for orthopaedic patients, helping them achieve safe and effective recovery. You will assist in the rehabilitation and mobilisation of post-operative inpatients and outpatients, providing practical support, education, and advice to promote independence and recovery.
Working under the guidance of a Physiotherapist, you will monitor patient progress, report any concerns, and maintain accurate patient records. You will also issue mobility aids and equipment, provide telephone support within agreed protocols, and assist with the administrative duties that support the smooth running of the service.
You will contribute to audits, training, quality improvement activities, and service development initiatives, supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.
You will have an interest in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, together with a commitment to delivering excellent patient care. Compassionate, motivated, and approachable, you will be able to build positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
You will have strong communication and organisational skills, be able to manage delegated tasks effectively, and work well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Above all, you will demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach and a commitment to supporting patients throughout their recovery journey.
