An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as the Physiotherapist Advanced Practitioner Primary Care Lead in the Central Area of BCUHB, working within Primary care. The post holder will be responsible for working clinically within this area and be the service lead, providing clinical support/supervision of physiotherapy staff working in this area, as well as the development of this service.
This APP role (8a) aligns with the 4 pillars of advanced clinical practice.
The successful applicant must work 7.5hours of the 10.5hrs per week clinically on site in Centre area.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have a broad background of experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
Clinical support and development is provided by Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapists within primary care across BCUHB, as well as from a Consultant Therapist and close working with other Advanced Practitioners in the Central Area. This support is enhanced with regular access to CMATS physiotherapy staff for inservice training and support.
The post holder will plan, lead and be responsible for the delivery and development of practice in the specialist area. They will fulfil the 4 pillars of advanced clinical practice and will provide advice to the BCUHB wide Physiotherapy Clinical Network Groups.
This is a clinical role, the job plan focus being clinical activity and the balance being research, audit, and education and developing the clinical models for BCUHB Physiotherapy. The post holder will work in partnership with the Physiotherapy Clinical Specialists to develop clinical services.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
