Our school is dedicated to nurturing academic excellence and personal growth. We pride ourselves on creating an environment where students feel confident to excel in challenging subjects and pursue their ambitions, grounded in our distinctive faith ethos.

The Physics Experience at Our School

Our Physics Department offers a stimulating and supportive learning environment, where theoretical understanding is deeply intertwined with practical investigation and real–world applications. We provide state–of–the–art laboratory facilities and encourage an inquisitive, analytical approach to the subject. Our curriculum is designed to foster deep conceptual understanding and strong problem–solving skills, preparing our students for success in public examinations and future scientific endeavours. Beyond the curriculum, we offer a vibrant array of enrichment activities, including science competitions, engineering challenges, and guest speaker events that often explore the interplay between scientific discovery and our faith traditions.

What Makes This Role Unique?

  • Values–Driven Education: Contribute to an educational setting where academic rigour is seamlessly integrated with moral and spiritual development.
  • High–Achieving Environment: Teach bright, motivated students who are keen to engage deeply with the subject material.
  • Superb Facilities: Benefit from modern, well–equipped laboratories that support innovative and practical teaching.
  • Collegial Department: Join a supportive and forward–thinking team of science teachers who collaborate closely and share best practices.
  • Investment in Your Growth: Access to generous professional development opportunities to further enhance your teaching craft and scientific expertise.

Key Responsibilities

As our Physics Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high–quality, engaging, and challenging Physics lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A–Level), inspiring intellectual curiosity.
  • Guide students in developing advanced experimental techniques and data analysis skills.
  • Provide robust academic and pastoral support to students, including university application guidance for older pupils.
  • Innovate teaching methodologies to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Physics curriculum and departmental resources.
  • Engage with the wider school community through co–curricular activities, science events, and school productions.

  • A genuine ability to inspire and challenge high–achieving students.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to the ethos of an independent faith school and fostering a supportive, values–rich learning environment.
