Physics Teacher – Permanent – Kensington and Chelsea

Role – Physics Teacher

Location – Kensington and Chelsea

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and effective Physics Teacher to join our vibrant and ambitious college. Our commitment is to provide the best possible education for every student that we serve. We are a fully inclusive Catholic Sixth Form College with a diverse and multi-cultural student body of 1100 16 to 19-year old Sixth Form students and 110 members of staff.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and teaching qualification, or will be a current Physics trainee working towards QTS. They will teach across our Vocational curriculum; will promote a purposeful learning environment; deliver engaging lessons and foster a creative and innovative learning environment, with a strong focus on student progress.

This role would suit an ECT or an experienced teacher seeking to move from a school to a 16-19 environment.

Qualifications & Training
  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
  • ECTs welcome to apply – bespoke ECT induction
Experience
  • Have planned and taught lessons that enabled students to make good progress
  • Have successful teaching experience in the secondary or further education sectors (can be teaching practice)
Skills and Knowledge
  • Appropriate specialist subject knowledge which meets demands of curriculum
  • Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS5
  • Be able to write and implement effective lesson plans
  • Know how to create lesson resources that support high quality learning
  • Good knowledge of the importance of assessment practices
