Physics Teacher - Highly Academic School - Hounslow, Feltham

A vibrant Mixed School in Hounslow seeks a passionate and skilled Physics Teacher for a part-time, permanent position within our Science department. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to explore the fundamental principles of the universe and develop a strong understanding of physics concepts.

About the Role:

  1. Deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering core topics such as mechanics, electricity, waves, and energy.
  2. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that facilitate hands-on experiments, data analysis, and problem-solving, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of physics concepts and scientific methodologies.
  3. Assess student progress through lab reports, presentations, and assessments, providing detailed and constructive feedback to support their scientific development in physics.
  4. Contribute to extracurricular science activities or clubs to further students' interest in physics.

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Physics or a related science.
  2. A good understanding of the secondary physics curriculum and effective teaching strategies for the subject.
  3. Proficiency in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and the use of scientific equipment relevant to physics.
  4. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in the study of physics.
  5. A passion for physics education and a commitment to fostering scientific curiosity and critical thinking.
  6. Competitive pro-rata salary (MPS/UPS + Outer London Weighting) commensurate with experience.
