Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a qualified Physics Teacher for a York secondary school. You will deliver engaging Physics lessons to KS3 and KS4, manage class behaviour, assess pupil progress, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS and Physics or Science specialism.

• Positive and adaptable approach to teaching.

Job Title: Physics Teacher
Location: York
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £174 - £263 per day

Are you a qualified Physics Teacher with a passion for delivering engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils?

Do you have strong classroom and behaviour management skills?

Can you plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons that inspire pupils and support their progress?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in York who are looking to appoint a knowledgeable and confident Physics Teacher. The school is looking for a committed teacher who can engage pupils and maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

The school is looking to take on a Physics Teacher on a part-time to full-time basis, starting ASAP and teaching pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful Physics Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress and demonstrating excellent classroom and behaviour management.

The successful Physics Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Physics or Science specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching Physics and/or Science across KS3 and KS4
• Strong lesson planning and curriculum knowledge
• Excellent classroom management
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
