Job summary

Physics Teacher position in York for KS3/KS4 pupils to start ASAP. The successful candidate will hold QTS with Physics or Science and deliver engaging physics lessons, assess pupil progress and maintain strong classroom and behaviour management.

The role is part–time to full–time with flexible hours. Pay is GBP174–GBP263 per day, via PAYE, with CPD and onboarding support from TeacherActive.

Qualifications

• QTS with Physics or Science required or equivalent
• Experience teaching Physics/Science across KS3/KS4 preferred
• Strong lesson planning and curriculum knowledge essential
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills expected

Can you plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons that inspire pupils and support their progress?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in York who are looking to appoint a knowledgeable and confident Physics Teacher. The school is looking for a committed teacher who can engage pupils and maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

The school is looking to take on a Physics Teacher on a part–time to full–time basis, starting ASAP and teaching pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful Physics Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress and demonstrating excellent classroom and behaviour management.

The successful Physics Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Physics or Science specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching Physics and/or Science across KS3 and KS4
• Strong lesson planning and curriculum knowledge
• Excellent classroom management
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
