Are you a dedicated Physics specialist ready to take on a fulfilling role in a supportive, inclusive school environment?

Supply Desk are proud to be working with a highly regarded mixed secondary school in the Chatham area that is seeking a full-time Physics Teacher to join their successful science department as soon as possible, with the contract running until at least Christmas (with the potential to extend).

This welcoming school supports students of all abilities, including those with SEND needs, and is committed to helping every learner achieve their personal best. The school also features a dedicated SEND unit and fosters a collaborative teaching culture that values inclusion, support, and high-quality teaching.

The Role:
  • Teach KS4 and KS5 Physics to a range of student abilities.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and effective approach across the department.
  • Support students with a variety of learning needs, working closely with the school's SEND unit.
  • Be a flexible and proactive member of staff who thrives in a team-based environment.
  • Mark work and assess progress in line with school policy.
To Be Considered, You Will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching Physics at KS4 and KS5.
  • Be comfortable with planning and marking responsibilities.
  • Be committed to inclusive education and confident working with pupils with SEND.
