About the opportunity

Many within the team have developed their careers in this role, starting in graduate positions and progressing through the grades towards becoming principal physicists.

We are open to early career physicists for this role. Key skills required:

  • Knowledge of reactor technologies and experience of undertaking physics assessments for civil nuclear power technologies
  • Familiarity with nuclear safety assessments and safety case construction
  • Ability to assimilate, analyse and provide judgements on complex technical issues clearly and concisely
  • Good consultancy skills, including good communication, teamwork, adaptability to client requirements, and time management skills
  • Experience within an engineering consultancy environment or nuclear sector is advantageous
Qualifications
  • Nuclear masters and PhDs preferred, or Degree or Post Graduate qualification in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
  • Ability to assimilate, analyse and provide judgements on complex technical issues clearly and concisely
  • Good consultancy skills, including good communication, teamwork, adaptability to client requirements, and time management skills
