Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is recruiting for a Physician Response Unit (PRU) Emergency Medicine OOPE. The role delivers a blend of hospital ED and community pre-hospital care, expanding emergency medicine experience in diverse settings.

Qualifications

Basic medical degree required.
Emergency Medicine CT3 by August 2025 or progress toward.
Full GMC registration required.
FRCEM intermediate or equivalent.
Experience at ST4 level or above in Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities

Deliver innovative, community-based emergency care as part of a Doctor and Paramedic Response Team.
Provide a 24-hour Emergency Medicine service within a busy ED.
Lead assessment, management and ongoing care planning in community settings.
Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to paramedics and pre-hospital staff.
Develop decision-making skills in complex environments to deliver high-quality care.
