Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant at Dumfries Ambulatory Care Center in Dumfries, Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional care to active-duty military members, veterans and their dependents in a dynamic outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapists in delivering treatment that improves patient mobility, relieves pain, and prevents or reduces physical disabilities
  • Perform various tasks related to patient treatment, including assisting with exercises, operating medical equipment, administering massages, and applying traction and ultrasound therapy.
  • Record patient responses to treatment and report the outcome of each treatment to the Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain patient records and assist with supporting documentation.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Associate Degree program.
  • Licensure: Active State license or American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) certification
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years full-time as a Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Current BLS certification
  • Life Guard Certification
    • If expired, Spectrum Healthcare Resources will provide financial reimbursement with proof of course/payment completion.
