Position Summary:

The Rehabilitation Aide (equivalent to rehabilitation technician and physical therapy aide positions) will assist the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing requested administrative and clinical duties. They will greet patients as they arrive at the clinic and work alongside physical therapists and physical therapist assistants during patient treatment. All duties will be conducted in compliance with state practice act requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The below is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organization and the overall business objectives.

  • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, including assisting with supportive devices, and support physical therapists during treatments.
  • Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under professional supervision.
  • Administer routine treatments such as hot/cold packs and modalities like Ultrasounds, Electrical stimulation, etc.
  • Clean work areas and equipment after treatments.
  • Wash linens/towels, fold, and maintain linen cabinets.
  • Maintain restrooms and other areas, restocking supplies as needed.
  • Assist the patient experience coordinator with answering phones, scheduling, and filing paperwork and charts.
  • Help track and manage supplies, and possibly order inventory.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; internship preferred.
  • Work Experience: Previous clinical aide or rehab technician experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
    • Ability to document projects clearly and manage workload effectively.
    • Attention to detail and good time management.
    • Focus on patient/client satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
    • Energetic team player with compassion for patients.
    • Ability to complete tasks thoroughly.
    • Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred.
Language Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Physical Demands:
  • Visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Regular talking and hearing required.
  • Ability to perform typical office activities, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 20-25 pounds, and fine manipulation (keyboard use).
Work Environment:
  • Indoor office setting.
  • Generally low noise level.

Salary Range:

Minimum: USD $12.41/hr
