Job description

Hastings Outpatient Rehab is integrated with our Health and Wellness Center. We are a full interdisciplinary team with PT/OT/SLP onsite, including 4 PTs, 3 PTAs, 2 OTs, and 1 SLP. We offer specialty areas such as certified hand therapy, LSVT BIG/LOUD certifications, DorsaVi technology for return to sport, and cash-based programs in collaboration with our Wellness Center.

Job Summary

Provides therapy to patients based on their needs and medical direction. Provides patient and caregiver education and arranges for adaptive equipment as needed.

Our therapists provide 1:1 care with patients, and we offer generous continuing education, including a full MedBridge membership and support for advanced certifications. As part of a large health system, we provide many growth opportunities. Our Epic EMR facilitates seamless care and transparency of physician notes. As a not-for-profit organization, employees may be eligible for debt forgiveness.

Essential Functions

  • Performs evaluation procedures to assess disability levels, set goals, and develop treatment plans, making appropriate recommendations.
  • Provides treatment and education to restore and maximize patient function. Assesses treatment effectiveness and modifies goals/methods as needed.
  • Documents evaluations and treatments in compliance with standards, legal, and reimbursement procedures.
  • Instructs and trains other rehabilitation staff, nursing, medical personnel, and students regarding patient needs and services.
  • Participates in process improvement, patient satisfaction initiatives, program development, and marketing activities.
  • Demonstrates productivity according to department standards.
  • Enhances skills through continuing education, competencies, and development of new patient care concepts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited physical therapy program (Required)
  • Preferred Master's Degree
  • 6 months of relevant experience preferred
  • LIC-Physical Therapist - STATE_MI (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC within 90 days of hire (Required)
  • Driver's License - STATE_MI (Required)
