Job summary

Carbon seeks a Scientist I - Physical Testing at our Deeside site. This fully on-site role supports medical device development, ensuring physical test methods meet GMP/GLP/GDP requirements and regulatory expectations.

You will design, execute and validate testing, document results, perform statistical analyses, and contribute to quality systems within ISO13485/ISO9001 environments while collaborating with R&D teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science field.
• 1-2 years in a lab environment is preferred.
• GMP/GLP/GDP and ISO13485/ISO9001 familiarity.
• Experience with FDA regulations and GDP.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and execute Physical Testing for R&D and base business projects.
• Develop and validate new Physical Testing methods.
• Estimate resources and time for experiments and monitor targets.
• Author validation protocols, reports and technical documents.
• Independently analyse data using statistical methods.
• Present lab findings to internal teams.
• Maintain GLP standards and data integrity; ensure cGMP compliance.
• Support change control activities.
