As Physical Security Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Security Manager in the effective management, maintenance, and protection of all the Met Office buildings, premises, and assets. You will assist in ensuring the operational integrity of all physical security systems, coordinating with suppliers and third-party contractors. You will support with the operational management of the Guardforce, and you will also ensure the accuracy and accessibility of all security records. This role demands a meticulous approach to confidential document handling and process innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the security administrative function.
Support the management and protection of all Met Office buildings, premises, and assets, while ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
Aid in the operational management of the Guardforce, monitoring performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring training records are up to date, and facilitating communication between teams.
Support the management of supplier and third-party contracts and contractor relationships, ensuring all security systems are operational, properly maintained, and service level agreements are met.
Work closely with key internal stakeholders across the organisation to understand operational requirements, share updates, support effective decision-making, and help ensure physical security arrangements meet business needs.
