The Met Office is seeking a Physical Security Coordinator to support the Security Manager in protecting buildings, assets and records. The job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.

As Physical Security Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Security Manager in the effective management, maintenance, and protection of all the Met Office buildings, premises, and assets. You will assist in ensuring the operational integrity of all physical security systems, coordinating with suppliers and third-party contractors. You will support with the operational management of the Guardforce, and you will also ensure the accuracy and accessibility of all security records. This role demands a meticulous approach to confidential document handling and process innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the security administrative function.
