Zusammenfassung

Newcastle United Women Academy seeks an Academy Physical Performance Lead to design, deliver and review evidence-informed strength and conditioning programmes for its players, aligned to the NUW Performance Plan. You will conduct testing, monitor progress and support rehabilitation with the multidisciplinary team.

You will educate coaches on integrating physical development into technical work, deliver player education on nutrition and recovery, and help maintain performance monitoring systems

Qualifikationen

• BSc in Strength & Conditioning, Sport Science or related discipline.
• UKSCA accreditation or active progression towards accreditation.
• Excellent knowledge of long‑term athletic development principles.
• Experience delivering physical development programmes in womens and girls sport.
• Experience in high‑performing multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, motivation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Reflective mindset with commitment to continuing professional development.

Aufgaben

• Design, deliver and review evidence-informed strength and conditioning programmes aligned to the NUW Performance Plan.
• Conduct physical testing and monitor player progression to inform development plans.
• Support rehabilitation, return-to-play and injury prevention with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide physical performance support during training sessions and matchdays.
• Maintain accurate player records and performance databases.
• Educate and support coaches to integrate physical development into technical programmes.
• Deliver education on nutrition, recovery and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Maintain and develop the Academy's physical performance monitoring systems.
• Support management and development of strength and conditioning equipment and facilities.
• Contribute to departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
