Please note applicants are required to pay for their DBS check, with costs deducted from salary after appointment. The DBS application costs £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced). We also encourage enrollment in the DBS Update Service, which costs £16 annually.

The Primary Healthcare Team offers a wide range of services, including initial assessments, clinical triage, emergency response, care for minor illnesses and injuries, nurse-led clinics for long-term conditions, and health promotion. Our goal is to deliver healthcare to offenders that is equivalent to community standards.

The healthcare service at HMP Nottingham aims to provide consistent, equitable, high-quality, and timely physical and mental health services. You will have support and opportunities to develop skills in assessing patient conditions, triaging, and providing appropriate clinical interventions, including emergency care.
