PE Teacher – SEMH School, Leyland (ASAP Start – End of Academic Year)

Are you a passionate PE Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? A specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Leyland is seeking a dedicated and resilient PE Teacher to join their team as soon as possible, with the role continuing until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering engaging PE lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH and additional learning needs.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages physical activity and personal development.
  • Supporting students in building confidence, teamwork, and resilience through sport and physical education.
  • Working closely with support staff and other teachers to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Managing challenging behaviour effectively and promoting positive behaviour strategies.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviours (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with diverse needs.
  • A commitment to making a meaningful impact on students’ educational and personal growth.
