We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic teacher of physical education, including outdoor education, and health to join our team to cover fixed term parental leave, starting 28 July 2025 to the end of term 2 in 2026.
Curriculum experience and sound knowledge of the NZC required.
Timaru Girls’ High School was established in 1880. We are a strong community school that places an emphasis on building healthy relationships with every girl. Our four guiding pou are:

TGHS is a state day and boarding school catering for girls from Y9–13.

The school is situated in the heart of Timaru, an attractive city of 48,400 people, on the east coast of the South Island about half-way between Christchurch and Dunedin. As well as being located on the coastline within minutes of the beach and harbour, Timaru provides easy access to the mountains, lakes and ski fields of the Mackenzie country little more than an hour inland.
