PHP / Laravel Developer

Location: Manchester (3-4 days in-office during onboarding; 1-2 days thereafter)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

This role sits within an independently operated division of a £220m revenue group, providing the flexibility and agility of a smaller organisation without corporate barriers. You’ll work across two group companies: one focused on a greenfield internal SaaS project and the other driving business transformation for global subsidiaries.

We are seeking a PHP / Laravel Developer who can deliver high-quality solutions independently. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of PHP and Laravel experience with end-to-end project ownership and problem-solving skills.

Key Requirements:

• Strong ability to manage complex PHP and Laravel projects independently

• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and a commitment to high code quality

• Ability to mentor junior team members as needed

• Proven experience leading and architecting greenfield projects

• Extensive background in OOP and MVC architecture

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Vue, or React)

• Experience with database management and designing large-scale solutions

Interview Process:

• 30-minute initial chat with the CTO

• Technical task (completed within 3-5 days)

• Fast-track process, with completion within one week
