LaraBench, Ipswich-based software company, is hiring a PHP developer on a permanent basis. You will join a small, friendly team, mostly remote, and help enhance cloud-based data hub and integrated mobile apps. Expect to work with PHP, Laravel, MySQL, MongoDB and JavaScript to build back-end and web app features.

The role suits someone with PHP experience, RESTful services, and Agile mindset, with an eye for improving best practices. Remote work option and generous leave are included.

• Commercial experience developing with PHP and a well-rounded knowledge of web-based platforms and RESTful web-services.

Job description

This is a newly created permanent vacancy for a PHP developer to work with an Ipswich based Software business who are embarking on an exciting period of growth.

Joining a small, friendly and supportive team of developers (working on a predominantly remote basis) you will be helping to enhance the organisations unique software offerings which include a cloud based data hub that interfaces with 3rd party data sources and applications, and an integrated suite of mobile apps. In your new role you will focus on developing new back end and web app functionality using technologies such as PHP, Laravel, MYSQL, MongoDB and JavaScript.

As the successful candidate it is likely that you will have commercial experience developing with PHP coupled with a well-rounded knowledge of web-based platforms and RESTful web-services. You will also be self-motivated, quick to learn and familiar with Agile development.

Knowledge of improving Software development best practice and process would also be of a distinct advantage.
