Myclient, a reputable cybersecurity vendor with a global presence and excellent product recognition, is seeking a SeniorBackendPHPDeveloper to join their team.

This is a permanent role and this client is open to fully remote candidates based in the UK or someone based in London who is open to hybrid work.

Responsibilities

As Senior Backend PHP Developer, you will be working closely with the Development Team and Infrastructure Team to work on their tech stack and projects.

What you\'ll be doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications using PHP, Python, and Java.
• Build and optimise RESTful APIs and microservices to support robust application functionality.
• Work on projects deployed on AWS-based infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with the Development and Infrastructure Teams to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
• Write and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation for seamless team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends in backend development, cloud computing, and DevOps to enhance system design and team capabilities.

What You Should Bring

We\'re looking for a hands-on Senior Backend Developer with DevOps experience, possessing the following:

• Proven expertise (5+ years) in backend development with proficiency in PHP and experience in Python or Java as a plus.
• Familiarity with PHP frameworks, preferably Laravel.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (MySQL) and NoSQL systems (e.g., Elasticsearch).
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and AWS ECS.
• Experience with AWS-based cloud infrastructure is a plus, including designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable solutions.
• Solid understanding of SaaS architecture, microservices design, and distributed application development.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle processes, including requirements gathering, issue tracking, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed, effective technical decisions.
• Clear and professional communication skills in English for collaboration with an international team.
• Experience in cybersecurity or knowledge of security frameworks is a significant advantage.
