The University of Brighton's College Office - Creativity, Technology and Society seeks a Technical Instructor to provide specialist technical support across photography studios, darkrooms, digital facilities and exhibitions. The role is a fixed-term part-time contract (30 hours/week) until 28/07/2028, with job sharing possible.

You will work with academic colleagues and students, delivering demonstrations, inductions and workshops while maintaining equipment and workflows in analogue and digital

Competenze

• Substantial technical knowledge of traditional and contemporary photography.
• Experience with analogue photography, film processing and darkroom techniques.
• Experience with digital photography, post-production workflows and Adobe CC applications (Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign).

Mansioni

• Deliver technical demonstrations, inductions and workshops.
• Provide day-to-day support to students and staff in photographic facilities.
• Maintain analogue and digital photography equipment and facilities.
• Support film processing, darkroom operations and printing.
• Manage digital imaging workflows, colour management and scanning processes.
• Assist with installation and presentation of exhibitions and student showcases.
• Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety.
