Leeds City College is recruiting a Technician for the Lens-Based and Digital Counter at Quarry Hill Campus in Leeds. You will manage the check-out and return of photography and media equipment, assist students and staff, and print images to support creative learning.

The role requires strong organisational skills, a good understanding of camera technologies, lighting and sound for film, and the ability to work in a team or independently.

Competenze

• Organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of camera technologies, lighting and sound for film.
• Proficiency with MacOS and iPadOS.
• Experience with a booking or asset management system.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.

Mansioni

• Prepare reservations for the teaching day.
• Check out equipment to students and staff and ensure accuracy.
• Inspect equipment after each loan for function and completeness.
• Maintain equipment by charging batteries, cleaning lenses, and updating software.
• Log damage, missing parts or maintenance issues in the booking system.
• Keep stock checks on consumables and raise orders as needed.
• Print photos and collect payment for this service.
• Update software/firmware on Creative Art devices.
• Provide basic training or guidance to users.
