We are currently recruiting for the position Photographer for Disney Cruise Line.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide an exceptional Guest experience by setting up, creating, producing, and selling photographic souvenirs that meet or exceed the company's standards of quality.
2. Expertise in photographic skill that creates an engaging experience for our guests.
3. The ability to interact with Guests in a positive and helpful manner to enhance the perception of their experience in posing for and buying cruise photos.
4. Shoot photographs of Guests in various natural and studio light locations in accordance with service standards and location operating guidelines.
5. Take high-quality photos in both indoor and outdoor settings with a variety of lighting settings.
6. Ensure every photo-generating activity is performed to standards including setup, during Guest interaction, and teardown.
7. Focus on photography sales and conversion. Sell all product offerings (i.e., images, photobooks, private portrait studio, retail, etc.).
8. Manage POS function with sales, return, guest service inquiries. Manage retail and supply inventory.
9. Ensure all camera and related photography equipment is in working order. Assist if able to correct or report equipment abnormalities to leadership.
10. Partner with other departments to utilize their space in order to create exceptional photos for our guests.
11. Transport studio equipment to and from different locations around the ship. Setup and break down portrait studios as directed and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1-year DSLR experience.
• Able to push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds including up and down ladders.
• Comfortable working outdoors in inclement weather both in warm and cold climates, including our islands which involve extensive outdoor work in humid climates.
• Flexible to help with tasks that go beyond the photographer role.
• Comfortable working in an ever-changing fast-paced environment: e.g., at a character Meet & Greet, a photographer could be interacting with up to 60 families, taking 5-6 photos per family (300 photos per hour).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ship experience preferred.
• Educational qualification in photography or similar.

Additional Information:

This is a shipboard role.

You must:

• Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel.
• Be willing to follow and perform safety roles, emergency responsibilities, and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan.
• Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control.
• If applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciate working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this).
• Complete a pre-employment medical.
• Obtain a criminal background check.
• Bring approved work shoes.
