Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a part time Phonics Intervention teacher to work at an excellent secondary school in the East Riding of Yorkshire. This will be two days per week (ideally a Thursday and Friday but this is open to negotiation), starting ASAP and lasting on an ongoing basis, likely until December 2024. This is a new role at the school. Payment for this position will be between £135 and £150 per day depending on experience and qualifications.
This role will involve teaching Key Stage 3 students on a 1:1 basis, delivering work from the Read, Write, Inc specification. You will be handed a level of autonomy, understanding your expertise in the area. You will be working with students on a 1:1 basis, with 45 minute sessions. You will have time in the morning to sort resources, before completing your intervention in the afternoon.
Located a short drive from Hull, the school is easily accessible via car (with a large on site car park with ample free spaces), and is accessible via public transport from Hull City Centre and some areas of Hull. It is part of an ever growing academy trust that has an exceptional reputation in the local area. They are highly focused on staff development and will provide CPD and training for temporary staff as well as permanent. There is a large focus on providing exceptional education for students with additional needs, and this role aims to improve attainment and confidence in young learners who need phonics support.
Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.
