This Manchester-based secondary school is seeking a Phonics Intervention Tutor who can inspire and redirect the energies of disaffected students. The role involves joining their small, close-knit team as soon as possible.

Phonics Intervention Tutor – The Person:

• 2:1 or higher degree in English or Education
• Patient and nurturing disposition
• Willing to train on a contract basis, with the potential to transition to a permanent contract with the school
• Good knowledge of, and experience with, Read Write, Fresh Start, or other Phonics programmes
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Affinity for pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties
• Growth mindset and positive ethos
• Salary: £550 – 575 per week, term-time only
• Full-time, long-term role at a single provision
• Sociable hours: 08:30 – 16:20, Monday to Friday
• Option for temp-to-perm contract, transitioning to a permanent role directly with the school
