This Manchester-based secondary school is seeking a Phonics Intervention Tutor who can inspire and redirect the energies of disaffected students. The role involves joining their small, close-knit team as soon as possible.
Phonics Intervention Tutor – The Person:
2:1 or higher degree in English or Education
Patient and nurturing disposition
Willing to train on a contract basis, with the potential to transition to a permanent contract with the school
Good knowledge of, and experience with, Read Write, Fresh Start, or other Phonics programmes
Excellent interpersonal skills
Affinity for pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties
Growth mindset and positive ethos
Salary: £550 – 575 per week, term-time only
Full-time, long-term role at a single provision
Sociable hours: 08:30 – 16:20, Monday to Friday
Option for temp-to-perm contract, transitioning to a permanent role directly with the school
