We are seeking an experiencedPopulation Health Management (PHM) and Health Inequalities Analystto lead analytics for our Musculoskeletal (MSK), Children and Young People (CYP), and Cancerprogrammes.
This fixed-term post will run until 31 March 2026and will involve developing and maintaining PHM insight products and Power BI dashboards, applying techniques such as segmentation, risk stratification, and impactability modelling. You will work closely with transformation teams, clinicians, and public health colleagues to translate complex analysis into actionable insights that reduce variation and tackle health inequalities.

Act as the PHM and HI lead analyst for MSK, CYP, and Cancer across NHS STW.
Build, update, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools for the MSK, CYP, and Cancer portfolios.
Apply PHM techniques such as segmentation, risk stratification, and impactability modelling to inform service transformation.
Translate analytical outputs into actionable insights to reduce variation and tackle health inequalities.
Work with clinicians, programme leads, digital and transformation teams to embed analytics into programme planning and evaluation.
Use NHS and local datasets (including SUS, primary care, and public health datasets) to conduct in-depth analyses and drive local population profiling.
Design and deliver bespoke analyses to support planning, evaluation, and targeting of interventions within MSK, CYP, and Cancer pathways.
Represent analytics in multi-agency meetings, ensuring PHM data is embedded in service improvement and commissioning decisions.
Maintain professional standards aligned with NHSE's DDaT Framework and participate in the NHS STW analytics community of practice.

Job Summary
This is a fixed-term post with a specific portfolio: to lead the Population Health Management (PHM) and Health Inequalities (HI) analytics programme for Musculoskeletal (MSK), Children and Young People (CYP), and Cancer services across NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin (STW). The role will involve producing, maintaining, and developing PHM insight products and Power BI dashboards for these clinical priority areas, working closely with transformation, clinical, and public health colleagues.
Key Working Relationships
The post holder will need to build and maintain constructive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to:
ICS partners, including portfolio leads, Local Authorities and Provider and Place Collaboratives
Members of the public and service users as appropriate
Matrix work across all other teams to address interdependencies and ensure alignment of mutual objectives.
