A leading NHS trust in Norwich is seeking an experienced individual for a leadership role in its phlebotomy department. The ideal candidate will have a nursing background, effective communication skills, and a keen understanding of operational needs. The Phlebotomy Department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) is part of the Eastern Pathology Alliance (EPA), a managed Pathology network involving NNUH, the James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn. The Phlebotomy department provides a phlebotomy service at NNUH, covering daily ward-based phlebotomy on a 7 day per week basis and outpatient phlebotomy on the NNUH site. All staff are expected to model NNUH’s PRIDE values of People focused, Respect, Dedication, Integrity and Excellence, and to support delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service.
This is a full time substantive opportunity in a busy hospital department in a leadership role. We are seeking a candidate from a nursing background who can apply clinical skills to support the phlebotomy service and develop leadership skills in managing a busy service.
