With a variety of new roles being created across clinical and operational teams, Welbeck Oxford presents an opportunity to join an innovative, forward-thinking environment that is set to redefine private healthcare provision in the area.

About the role

As a Phlebotomist, you will play a key role in delivering a professional, safe and patient centred blood collection service within our Outpatients Department. Working closely with consultants, nurses and administrative colleagues, you will support patients attending a variety of specialist clinics and diagnostic appointments, ensuring they receive an excellent experience from start to finish.

Reporting to the Lead Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for performing venepuncture, ensuring accurate specimen collection and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, dignity and care. You will also contribute to the smooth running of the service by maintaining accurate records, supporting quality standards and ensuring compliance with laboratory and infection prevention procedures.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new facility and play an important role in establishing a high quality service from day one.

Formal Phlebotomy training, demonstrable venepuncture competency and experience working with a variety of patient groups are essential. Experience using Vacutainer systems and working within a healthcare environment would be advantageous.

If you are looking to join an ambitious, growing healthcare organisation and help shape a new service in Oxford, we would love to hear from you.
