Overview

To work as part of the phlebotomy team in supporting the medical and nursing staff, by obtaining samples from patients by venepuncture and ensuring they are correctly labelled and transported to the Pathology Department for processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide a phlebotomy service to inpatient wards and assist with complicated and difficult venepunctures in outpatient clinics/departments.
