Job description

Phlebotomy of adult patients, on Saturdays 09:00 to 13:00 and 13:30 to 16:30

Also NHS health checks, diabetic checks, prediabetic checks and flu vaccines depending on experience, plus training available.

Main duties of the job

Phlebotomy of patients aged 14 or over.

Health checks involving checking lifestyle including smoking, alcohol, exercise and diet. Measuring blood pressure , weight, height and BMI and cardiovascular disease risk, and diabetic feet check.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Fully qualified phlebotomist.
• Care certificate qualification for Health Care Assistants, or other health professional qualification.

Experience

• Experienced and capable phlebotomist of adult patients.
• Experience of working in general practice, and of carrying out health checks including diabetes foot checks.
