The post requires a confident, reliable individual with a professional presentation and access to a car for travel to community clinics and to transport samples to the hospital.

• Provide day-to-day supervision of the phlebotomy team across locations.
• Work within the phlebotomy rota and support service delivery.
• Phlebotomy collection and clinic operations as needed.

The University Hospital of North Midlands, Mid Cheshire and East Cheshire NHS Trusts work in partnership as North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service.

We are looking for a confident, reliable and well presented individual to join our Phlebotomy team.

We offer a Phlebotomy service in a range of locations across Staffordshire and Cheshire including hospital and community bookable clinics.

Based at Leighton, the successful applicant will be an integral part of the phlebotomy rota and expected to provide day to day supervision of the phlebotomy team in all of the above locations.

We offer a phlebotomy service in a range of locations across North Midlands including Royal Stoke and County Hospitals, ward based, community walk-in centres and community appointment based clinics.

The Trust has around 1,450 in patient beds across 2 sites Our 11,00 strong workforce provide emergency treatment, planned operations and medical care from Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital in County.

It is a requirement of your role you have access to a car for work purposes which must be suitable for travelling to community phlebotomy clinics and transporting samples back to the hospital It is your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is insured for class 1 business use and the transportation of pathology samples Expense will be paid in accordance with Trust Policy when you use your vehicle for work purposed.
