Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Phlebotomist at Band 2 or 3 depending on experience to join our busy Phlebotomy, Anticoagulant, Inpatients and Outpatients services. The post covers 18 hours per week across sites in Bedford and Luton.

Hours: Mon Tue Thu Fri 8:30-13:00; weekends on a rota basis. Band 3 duties may include paediatric sample collection and general departmental tasks. The Trust offers development and training further in-house opportunities.

Qualifications

• Band 2 or 3 phlebotomy role depending on experience.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Willing to work across hospital sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Take blood samples from inpatients and outpatients.
• Carry out general departmental duties.
• Work on a rota including weekends and bank holidays.
• Collect samples from paediatric patients (Band 3 level).
• Assist in anticoagulant clinics as required.
