Job summary

Latham House Medical Practice, a large UK GP surgery, seeks an experienced phlebotomist to join our team in Melton Mowbray. You will assist the GP and nursing staff to deliver safe, high-quality primary care for a population of 37,300, undertaking delegated tasks under supervision and performing venepuncture on direct referrals.

Job description

• The purpose of the post is to assist the GP and nursing team in the delivery of a safe and high-quality primary care service for the practice population.
• The post holder will undertake delegated task and duties under direct or indirect supervision.
• The post holder will work within clear parameters and lines of accountability after appropriate training and assessment of competencies
• The post holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients only as the result of a direct referral from a GP or nurse practitioner.
